Materials

5 balls of Zwartbles Double Knit from Chrissie Day for the Zwartbles scarf

Debbie Bliss for the Turquoise or any yarn which gives you the correct gauge

Needles 4.5mm

Gauge 16sts 14 rows to 10cms on needles 4.5mm

Method

Always slip the first stitch and knit into the back of the last stitch on the row this will always give a lovely edge to your work

The Fisherman’s Rib creates a reversible fabric that is identical on both sides.

Never work K1B into the first or last stitch of a row.

Cast on an odd number of stitches.

Row 1 – Knit across (you will not repeat this row)

Row 2 – Sl1, *K1B (see description below), p1; rep from * to end.

Row 3 – Sl1, *p1, K1B; rep from * to last 2 sts, p1, k1. Repeat rows 2 and 3.

When fringing is in fashion you can add this after knit-

ting. Cut 12 “ lengths fold in half and thread the fold end through ends of scarf place 2 ends through the loop(fold) and pull
