I’m sure I recognise this, has it previously been in print? If it is the one I think it is, it was on my to do list at the time. That was in the days before I knew who you were LOL.

    Hello I am Back

Hi I am back the blog is fixed thanks to the guys at  WordPress.

My weekend was really good and we had a good time at The threshing barn check out other courses here  at http://www.threshingbarn.com/  and I was amazed to find an amazing lady in my class called Sharon, and not so long ago her work was in the daily press illustrating a most amazing wedding dress that she not only designed but made as wellfrom the yarn from her own sheep ,also all the grooms waistcoats and embroidery.Press can sometimes omit to name designers which is a shame because Sharon is one very talented lady–at lunchtime we all had alook on the computer at the amazing dress here it is for you

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1205007/Shepherdess-bride-marries-stunning-dress-wool-flock.html

Sharon can be found at http://www.greengatewools.co.uk an amazing designer and knitter,I was honoured to have her doing ‘on the edge’.

My ladies all made a miniature ‘on the edge’ and will now practise and later will emerge’ on the edge ‘  socks so thank you to all of you for a great day and we as a group decided to START a KAL which is short for knitalong and we will do a garter stitch jacket with a fab large button fastening ,so ladies I will be in touch when I have set up our group site so we can all post .'on-the-edge'-ladies

Sunday became a very different day, quite rural as my lovely mother in law had a disaster in her garden with a very old tree deciding to send some branches downwards crashing through a lovely cypress and making quite a mess. This is what we saw when we arrived yesterday with our new chainsaw –just love this piccie of Mum with the 2 old saws

    the-garden-nightmare

Well later in the day after a  marvellous bonfire lit by yours truly —ooh i love bonfires ‘no’ in fact i love all fires, my dear dad was a chief fire officerso think he passed his love onto me,  he made sure we all knew how to safely have garden fire and it was a good one and the garden looks a lot better .

We left some branches on the floor with a lot of leaves pushed under so hopefully we will get a hedgie  come to stay.

So a busy weekend but a good one –back soon

    Felted slippers and more spooky

As a blogger you know people are going to read you but what I find unerving is when someone decides to search the entire web universe for any entry that has your name attached –this time they have done it through Virginmedia and 5 folk have viewed that link –spooky .Last week I had search engines repeating a sweep of a month ago for anything to do with felted slippers –all this does is make me feel someone is trying to take my designs so I remove all trace from the sites .I f somebody wants some information they can email and ask not snoop ,these are not regular readers and this is why it shows up in the stat details so vividly. So whoever you are please email and ask your questions, if you are wanting a pattern ask for one to be designed for you or buy one and use for your own knitting only.

This is one of the down turns of blogging on an open forum  irritating really .

Free patterns start in March and will be downloadable through a link to my web site .watch this space .

A whole new set of podcasts will be available either through the blog or through the website ,it is just amatter of getting them totally finished

Sunday, May 18, 2008, 08:48 AM CST [General]

Well here he is the baby of Miss Iris little baby Cocobean –quite a ittle character a good blend of Miss Iris and Fudge .

Sorted lots of silks today and rewound and untangles and did some general  sorting in the skein box–I do like to just pick up quickly what I need –great in principle but as one gets things outone must learn to put away again.

The garden has changed in 6 days to a full blown english summer garden and the perfume from the Daphne and the Viburnum are competing with the Rosa Rugosa for attention ,Lavender is also competing for 1st place then a waft carried on the breeze of lemon scented geranium hits me and then all my senses are highly tuned and i cannot sketch enough.

One of my art teachers once told  me –’you’ll know when something is inspiring you either visually or perfume or sound because you can taste it at the back of your throat and it makes you salivate’

How right he, is so before I dribble everywhere and the sight of this 80 year old Japanese  Double Cherry  assails my senses anymore I am going back in  to continue sorting and feeling good  –also finding so much stuff I had not seen for ages–now that is bad ,

    Chrissie
