    Time

I have been very conscious about time lately and how much we do not respect it in our every day lives. I have done so much yet so little for 2 months and sometimes feel I have a mountain to get over to get on yet time pulls me up and makes me just want to sit a while and enjoy the moment .

It is these moments I have been trying to put into stitch and words.A couple of weeks ago I met my neighbours new born son of 2 days, and as I gazed at him I had the impression he knew more than I did allready as he lay there so peaceful yet so knowing .

It is going to be a strange Christmas the first without my father in law ,my daughter sad as her fiance is away and my son will be leaving for his future inlaws on Christmas morning .My perfect Christmas  would be to have  all in the family in one huge house all together for the holiday week what fun that would be .

So my 2 new books are on the shelves and I think we should be using hot water bottles again and turning off the heating so have a look for a new cover to inspire you or look in the othe one for an inspiration for a new pair of socks.

Try and find time in the next few days to give yourself a present of some time to just enjoy the time.  My Christmas wish and prayer is for Peace for all .Merry Christmas .

    Easter

03alpa.gifcan you imagine what is being said here ‘they do what to us’!

Well hope everyone had a good break and if knitting time did not happen then maybe you read some of the new books that are out .

My toe is broken at the moment so trekking off to the hills was not on this holiday so I did have some time to read the new books and to just gaze at some of the new wools out, the colours this summer are fantastic .

a friend sent me some fabulous bamboo and cotton yarn which is temperature regulating and the colours just made me think of ice cream so  be a great summer choice for everyone –will fill you in soon with brand etc.

‘design on textiles ‘ here is one of mine 2nd-image-3rd-alteration-do.jpg could look good knitted. Actually managed to catch up with Liz which was nice..

I have made some lovely friends on Ravelry the amount of knitters around the world amaze me .

    finished

Well feel like I am on holiday now as I have finished the sock book ,there are so many new patterns I want to try from the new books I had for Christmas . Maybe if we get some snow I could be holed up alone with my books and my yarn stash —how appealing that sounds

    Knitting is easier.

Well the main part of my days over the last few have been spent building a web site and it has been hard hard work, would rather have tackled a new Bohus pattern.

But I am sure that by next week I will forget what I have taught myself in the past few, what has amazed me is looking at the traffic logs for the site—it is amazing that after only been up and running for less than a day it has had the hits it has.

Anyone got any ideas for a good valentine knitty idea ??brain has dried up

    Keeping resolutions

Hi well this is me being very good but no piccies as something has died in my camera -will get the Dr to look at iti when he arrives home.

Very good this morning Been doing some surfing looking at other sites and as I am a snow freak the piccies on this site made me green with envy—think I live in the wrong country. So come on you lucky knitters who have snow either link with my site or at least send me some snow pictures to go with my sock knitting.

Also today tried crocheting with Noro Daria which reminds me of the bourdon gimp we used to be able to get anywhere. The colours of the Daria are lovelyand I know Pavi Yarns will be stocking it.

I am fascinated with the number of workshops, lessons at trade fairs, get togethers in yarn shops that happen in America compared to the Uk.I know we try hard but it does not seem to hold the same priority here.Well going to download a new book to the ipod and get stuck in to the latest project ,trying to use some of my stash as the new year always brings new yarns. I promise piccies as soon as the Dr fixes things.
